Mobile App for Blended Families in North Alabama
Huntsville Child Custody Lawyers | Crumbley-Blackwell & Associates, P.C.
There’s an amazing mobile app that those who are unfortunate enough to be going through a divorce need to be aware of – it is called “2houses” and is available for iPhone and Android users. 2Houses is a mobile app that allows you to calendar child custody, visitation, doctor appointments, doctor bills and more. If, for example, one parent would like to request an extra day for a special trip – they simply enter that request into the app calendar. The other divorced parent receives a notification on their smart phone and accepts or declines the invitation. If the request is ignored that also becomes transparent in court if necessary. Doctor visits and, or bills, special events, all the things that divorced parents argue over are packaged neatly right inside this app. This creates a printable paper trail for everything. While you may or may not be in favor of this, a frequent problem with split families is when parties dispute what has and has not been communicated between the parties and to which what has or has not been responded. Another advantage is that you just enter it into the calendar and the rest is up to the other divorced party. Spend $80.00 at the doctor? Other party owe half of that fee? Just enter it in the appropriate section and the other party is automatically notified of the bill. Importantly, there is now proof that the bill has been communicated (or that it has not been communicated). Finally, if you are going through a divorce, our team of divorce and family law attorneys at Crumbley-Blackwell & Associates, P.C. recommend that this method be required and made a part of the court order for the divorce. If you are already divorced, set it up and notify your ex that you have done so – ESPECIALLY if there are already problems in these areas.
